Jim is a dynamic and versatile engineer, with an inexhaustible hunger for knowledge. As a developer, Jim is test-driven, and also people-driven, attuned to human factors and usability, ensuring that his work is practical and user-friendly.

Jim spent years as a cryptolinguist for military intelligence, using his sharp mind and linguistic expertise to uncover hidden meanings and solve complex puzzles. Later, he followed his heart to UC Berkeley, where he studied cognitive science and worked on groundbreaking neuroscience research projects. He expanded his horizons further by diving into the exciting world of data science, learning to mine insights from complex data sets. 

As a full-time software engineer, Jim combines his diverse background and skillset to tackle tough problems with a creative and interdisciplinary approach. He's not content to simply solve problems; he wants to understand them from the deepest level, employing reliable and repeatable procedures that stand up to scrutiny. 

When he's not hard at work in front of a screen, Jim loves to indulge his hobbies, including science fiction, board games, crafting, electronics, and salsa dancing.
