Christos Savva

Christos has a deep understanding about processes that enables him to excel at building business applications. He was simply fascinated with the power of the FileMaker platform with what he was able to build over the course of a single weekend. That was back in 2012, and since then he has built numerous apps for clients in a wide range of industries.

Christos was initially self-taught in software development, then earned a M.S. in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology. He is a certified developer with FileMaker from version 12 through current, as well as an AWS Certified Developer. He is also enthusiastic about learning web and mobile technologies (including JavaScript and Python) in order integrate them with FileMaker and to better serve customers as well as users. His interest towards all subjects technological is one of many things that attracted him to work at Beezwax.

Mathematically-inclined, Christos studied for a Maths degree at the University of Bath in the UK and a master’s degree in Accounting and Finance from the same institution. He started his career working at Deloitte for five years where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant. His roles included financial services external auditor for international clients, and enterprise risk services specialist for internal audit, compliance and business process re-engineering.

Christos is from Nicosia in Cyprus, and in his spare time, he is an avid astronomer. He was one of the co-founders of the Cyprus Astronomy Organization, a non-profit organization to promote astronomy on the island.
