Josh Block

Josh is a data analyst and Tableau developer, working with a range of Beezwax clients, across Government, Non-profit and Enterprise business projects.

Prior to joining Beezwax, Josh consulted for several large tech companies. For Google, he helped develop the Returns program for their Same Day Delivery service, and managed a data analytics team analyzing finance and compensation for Cloud sales. Josh also held roles at Facebook as a data analyst and Tableau developer where he built dashboards analyzing space utilization and projecting future needs for worldwide events and real estate planning teams. Josh started his journey into the world of analytics and visualization in the Army. He served as a Civil Affairs Team Sergeant and Arabic linguist and was twice awarded the Army Commendation Medal for meritorious service. Tasked with using intelligence to provide non-violent solutions to complex problems, Josh quickly learned the power of data and communication to affect the world for the better, one small step at a time.

Josh received a degree in Arabic from the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, CA, graduating top of his class, and a BS in Management Information Systems from Menlo College, graduating as salutatorian. Josh has earned the designation of Tableau Desktop Certified Associate.

In his free time Josh enjoys hiking, mini golf, going to punk and metal shows, and reading.
