Ariel Scherman

senior developer

Starting when he was 12 years old, Ariel has pursued his passion for programming, as a startup developer, government project leader, freelancer, computer systems student, and most recently with the Beezwax team.

After a long ride on .NET, he found the beauty of Ruby while reading books on Object Oriented Design. In the pursuit of a better, cleaner and more decoupled code, Ariel found in Ruby a favorite tool.

Ariel led the project that developed the system currently used nationally in Argentina for managing insurance providers. This system includes a web application, multiple web services, and automated processing of complex information provided by the insurance providers, along with statistical analysis reporting.

In 2015, Ariel received first place in La Nacion Hackaton, where his team built a mobile application for managing magazines stocks and distribution.

Ariel is also pursuing a degree in Systems/Economics at the University of Buenos Aires. When he isn’t programming, Ariel enjoys reading books, watching movies and TV shows, playing the drums, and drinking “mate” with family or friends.
