DevOps Engineer
We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer available to work with a client in the Pacific Time Zone. Those with strong analytical and problem solving skills and the proven ability to implement reliable infrastructure and deployment pipelines are ideal candidates.

The ideal candidate for this role will demonstrate the following characteristics and experience:
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills to be able to resolve issues
- Analyze technology options/feasibility; define the build, delivery, and deployment pipeline for applications
- Provide leadership in implementing secure, robust and high availability DevOps pipelines
- Automate build & deployment processes
- Work closely with engineers and project managers throughout the development lifecycle in successfully delivering best in class systems
- A desire to write tools and applications to automate work rather then do things manually
- Self-motivated, pro-active and solution-oriented individual
- Takes initiative, effectively communicates and follows up with colleagues and users
Requirements
Primary Skills
- Excellent communication (English). Able to work with clients and colleagues by phone and email in situations where clear communication is critical; strong English verbal and written skills are required.
- Team player, not afraid to ask for help and brainstorm
- Azure expertise, specifically deploying platform services
- Managing and deploying kubernetes clusters
- Terraform (good experience in utilizing this platform)
- Need to be experienced in running a kubernetes cluster with *persistent storage* (this is important and not something everyone running k8s clusters has experience with)
- MySQL DB Management
- Helm
- Powershell
- Git
- Networking experience including DNS
- Experience deploying full-stack Javascript applications (e.g. Node/React)
Nice-to-have Additional Skills
- Background in linux sys admin
- Ability to automate simple tasks with a programming language (i.e. bash) or through an automation language such as ansible.
- PHP familiarity would be good, since wordpress is written entirely in PHP
- AWS, Google Cloud
- AzureRM
- NodeJS
- Knowledge of wordpress is a plus but not completely required

Compensation: $100,000-$140,000 depending on experience.
