BI Engineer Internship

As an accepted candidate you will be invited to participate in a 3-4-months pre or post-graduation internship. During the internship you will have instructors and technical mentors, who will guide you through our custom-tailored curriculum. The first phase will be dedicated to learning soft & hard skills that will build a foundation for a successful career in business intelligence, including Agile development methodologies, UI/UX design principles, Tableau development, Basic analytics, Data modeling, using Claris FileMaker as a data source, SQL Usage and more. In the final month of the internship you will work with the data team at Beezwax, where you will be responsible for developing Business Intelligence products under the supervision of our developers. Those that do well in this internship will be offered a full-time role as a Junior BI Engineer at Beezwax. The ideal candidate for this internship is someone who wants to grow in the data field, is interested in analytics, and has a strong sense for visual display of data. We are looking for results-oriented individuals with outstanding communication skills, high initiative, and strong leadership potential.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in or will receive a Bachelor’s Degree in business analytics, statistics, computer science, or an equivalent discipline.
- Experience with one or more analytics visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI or any other business intelligence tools) is strongly preferred.
- Experience in manipulating data using SQL, Python.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills and data presentation skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Intellectual curiosity and ability to work independently.
- Strong academic track record with previous internship/school job/summerpositions highly preferred.
- High level of professional reliability, including excellent task tracking, follow-up and documentation habits.
- You should be interested in working as part of a smaller firm, although experience consulting or working at a larger corporation is valuable since many of our customer teams are in larger organizations.
Salary: $31,000.
